08:48 pm - i'm an aunt again i haven't been on livejournal in over a year. doesn't seem that long. but it does seem like a long time however.
danny's brother's wife just had twins this weekend. they were born 8 weeks early. that's early, but not too early for them to have a good chance to be healthy in life. derek and amy kept the names secret until their were born. i thought it was weird but i guess it's fairly common.
amy was feeling great and doing great. she had an appointment with the doctor the wednesday before last. she was hoping that the doctor would put her on light duty. but she didn't. she said everything was going fine and she'd see in her 2 weeks. then on friday amy starting swelling and itching. i noticed it at her baby shower on saturday. but i thought it was normal pregnant tummy scratching. it got progressively worse. derek recommended that she check the symptoms online. she found that there was a 1% chance that it could be a liver problem. she saw her doctor on tuesday. they took a blood test. it would take 2 days to get the results. she got the results on thursday. they doctor said her liver wasn't filtering enough for the 3 of them. she also noticed that her blood pressure was very high. she had preeclampsia. she had to go directly to the hospital. her blood pressure was so high that they had to put her on magnisium to keep her from having seizures. she wasn't able to eat or drink while on the mag and she felt like crap. she was throwing up. they gave her steroids so the babies lungs would develop quickly. the only thing that can treat preeclampsia is birth. they wanted to wait 48 hours for the lungs to develop. on friday, they moved her to another hospital. one that was more equipt for long turn neonatal icu care (nicu). the new hosptial is at least 45 minutes from their house. derek was planning on going home daily to change and let the dogs out. because they are so far away from home, we are watching their two dogs at our house and their cat at their house. they have a 3 year old black lab that is sweet. they also have a 100 year old mini-poodle. he's blind and def and pees all over the place.
the babies were born on saturday in the afternoon. they almost made it to 48 hours. amy had a c-section. their names are gavin william fenton and hanna katheryn fenton. william is derek's dad's (and grandpa's) name and katheryn is amy's mom's name. she only saw the babies for a second before they were treated and taken out of the room. she was still on the magnisium until 830a the next morning. she wasn't able to see the babies until sunday morning. danny and went to visit them on sunday afternoon. danny brought derek a change of clothes and we bought him some boxers. amy looked very tired, pale, and swollen. she said she was feeling much better now that she was off the mag. we were able to see the babies. they were so tiny. 3 pounds each. they were in thier own little rooms in the nicu. we didn't touch them because they look so small and fragile. we were their first visitors. ahhh.
derek and amy were finally able to hold them on monday morning. they held them again today. amy gets to go home tomorrow. her mom is flying up from florida to stay with her for a few weeks. that way derek can go back to work. amy can't get around that well because of the c-section. the babies will probably be in the hosptial until her original due date, march 25th.
i'm so excited to have them. i can't wait to hold them and play with them.

03:39 pm - Where have I been? Hey guys, haven't been on here for a LONG time. I've been fairly busy at work...I guess.
Things have been going well. I went to my parent's house for Thanksgiving. It was alright. My mom was constantly talking shit about my dad and my dad was constantly talking shit about my mom. I wish they'd just get divorced already. We went to the gay bar a few times. They had the normal transvestite dancers. In addition, they had these twink boy stipper dancers. The first one came out. We were standing front row (per the usual) and my dad gave the guy some money and whispered in his ear. Next thing I know I'm being beat about my body by his packaged sling-shot. It was hilarious.
For Chrstmas we drove down an hour and a half to Danny's parent's house. Please see my loot inventory below:
From Danny: 1. new fancy smancy Sparper Image alarm clock with ALL the bells and whistles. 2. Snow Patrol CD 3. The first Cold Play CD 4. Kick ass argile knee socks 5. Season 1 and 2 of Arrested Development 6. The hat and matching gloves that I wanted from Target.
From Work: 1. Leather Franklin Covey Day Planner 2. Gift card to Barnes and Noble 3. 3 in 1 pen
From Danny's Side of the Family: 1. Tons of cash 2. Socks 3. Popcorn air poper 4. An alcohol based incense bottle burner thingy 5. Dinner with the lovely Derek and Amy (brother and sister-in-law) at this really good Greek restaurant 6. Theme party box kits 7. Keychain breath-o-lizer (actually for Danny, but we can both use it)
I got Danny: 1. Protools with M-Box (music mixing program used by the pros) 2. Tickets to the Carolina Hurricanes v. Detroit Red Wings game. 5th row center. We've never been to a hockey game. I really wanted to go but I have class, so Danny's brother's going to go with him. 3. CKY (Camp Kill Yourself - pre-Jack Ass) DVD Box Set plus CKY4 4. Jack Ass the movie 5. A new cell phone and plan with Cingular.
I'm starting school a week from today. I'm taking 2 classes at the local CC. Intro to Architectural Technology (Graphics) and Construction Materials and Methods. I'm nervous. I already work 45 hours a week and will be in class 12 hours a week. I'm going to be so busy and I'm not going to see Danny or the pets hardly at all. :(
I can't wait for NYE. Danny and I are going to Ruths Chris for dinner. His old friend Bran (also his brother's best friend) has reserved a private room for 14 of us. We're going to eat dinner in style and then head over to the Goat Bar (which Bran owns) and celebrate the New Year. NYE is one of my favorite holidays. All the drinking holidays are good in my book.
We're flying out to see Sean MLK weekend (Jan 13-16). We're going to stay with him in AZ and spend the last night in Las Vegas in the Circus Circus. I'm super excited for this trip for several reasons: 1. I haven't been to Arizona since 1994. Danny and I used to want to live there. It will be nice to see it again. 2. I haven't been to Las Vegas since 1992. I stayed in Circus Circus then too. 3. We haven't been on a vacation that did involve seeing family in a very very long time. 4. Most imporantly of course, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SEAN.
That's the recap. Stacey and Danny are alive and well.

07:43 am Danny and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for my b-day. I have never been to there before. They don't have them in MI (at least I don't think they do). I remember hearing about it for the first time in Maryland. They had one in Baltimore on the bay. I thought it was just a dessert place back then. Some chick from my old job at GM was going to Chicago and she specially ordered a Cheesecake Factory menu to be sent to her house so she could decide what she wanted to eat for weeks and weeks, talk about building it up! There's one at the mall right by our place so I figured, when am I ever going to get Danny to go to a restaurant that specializes in dessert (Danny doesn't eat dessert ... what you couldn't tell?) and then on top of that the dessert has the word 'cheese' in it (Danny doesn't eat cheese either ... he hates it). I ordered a Flying Gorilla mixed drink. It was basically a chocolate and banana milk shake with liquor. Danny had a beer. We shared appitizer, some really tastey avacado egg rolls. They came with some weird sweet green sauce that we couldn't figure out. I ordered the 4 cheese pasta dish. Gosh I love cheese. Danny got some breaded fried chicken (isn't that called chicken fried steak?) with mash potatoes and asparagas. I ate about a 1/3 of my dish because I was saving room. Danny ate about half of his food. For some reason I've been craving some taramasu for the past few days, so I got the taramasu cheese cake. I took a few bites, made Danny have a bite, and then boxed it up. It's sitting in my fridge now, I could of eaten it for breakfast!
I've been feeling under the weather lately. This allergy season is really bad. What sucks, is I don't just get the sneezing and runny nose part. I get grumpy and I can't sleep or concentrate. It lasts for months it seems. Because my immune system is taxed so much and because I'm not getting any sleep, I end up with all kinds of weird rashes and stuff. Right now I have a wort on my finger. How gross is that? I'm using some bandaide thing with some sort of low dose acid to kill it slowly. Supposidly it could take up to 12 weeks. It's such a pain in the ass. Then I got a cold sore on Tuesday. I think it was trying to be the worst cold sore I've ever gotten, like the ones you see in text books. It started out as a zit and then in 8 hours it blew up to the size of a dime and was spreading down my chin. I got some Abbreva on the way home. Someone told me it was really good, it's not doing much really. It's just like the other shit I've used in the past. I have some itchy dry irritated patches on my neck. My neck is where I usually get my rashes. Luckily I have some prescription cream to put on there from my other numberous rashes over the years. I feel like a walking peatry dish. On and I have a headache. I actually slept OK last night for the first time in weeks. I took a Benadryl before bed. Danny recommended it. It helps me sleep, but it definetly doesn't help with the getting up part.
I'm taking Friday off. Kelly and Amanda are flying in tomorrow at 11p-ish. I don't get vacation or sick time at my job, so I'm working long hours to make up my time. I get 5 hours of overtime. I haven't missed those 5 hours yet. So I need to work 45 hours in 4 days instead of the normal 5. I get time and a half for those 5 hours, I just can't miss out on that!
Danny's job is so weird. He works in a call center. They have some weird ways of motivating people to come to work and do their jobs. They don't do it with the pay, I can tell you that for sure! But the do have some pretty great insentive programs. Like if 90% of the people come to work in a week, the next week they get to wear casual clothes ALL WEEK! So Danny's been able to wear jeans and t-shirts for 3 weeks straight. Then yesterday they had a drawing. Everyone that came to work and got acceptable score on their call ratings had their name entered into the raffle. Danny won a $50 debit card. There was one $250 debit card, three $50 debit cards and like five $10 Blockbuster gift cards. Pretty cool. The funny thing is he missed a day last week. He's not sure exactly why he was entered into the drawing. The only thing he could think of is that he arranged it before hand. Who knows. He had to go to his parent's town (1 hour away) to straighten out a driving offense from when he was 15 years old that was keeping him from getting his license in NC. Total BS. They said he failed to appear, which isn't the case. I guess he saw the DA back then and he cleared him of all charges. He got his license when he was 17 in NC without a problem. But when he was 30, all the sudden his license was suspended and he could be arrested if he was pulled over. Craziness. So he went to the DA last week, explained what happened and he said "OK, I'll take care of it". So hopefully it's all taken care of now.
So Kelly and Cakes are coming tomorrow, yipee. I'm excited. Our first visitors to NC. I'm taking Friday off, as I already said. We're going to drive to the coast (2 hours) and visit the aquarium, the battleship NC, and Fort Fisher, an old legistical port during the civil war. We might visit an old cemetery or two and then possibly go on this ghost tour of old Wilmington. Saturday we're going to go on a tour of the Carolina Brewery. Then hit the NC Musuem of Art and walk around the attached Musuem Park. It's going to be fun.
We bought bikes for my b-day. We bought them early, on Saturday. There are miles and miles of paved trails called the Capital Greenway Trails. We rode around them for hours. It was great. I can't wait to go riding again!
P.S. I didn't spell check, I'm sure you noticed.

07:58 am - I had a dream this morning That I was going to Jeremy Duncan's funeral. It was in a dark room with lots of dark wood. His parents where there and remembered me. There were pictures of all of his animals around. I think in the dream they were like that because they were up for grabs. I remember praying to god (which was weird because I'm not religious, not even in my dreams) for him to bring Jeremy back to life. It worked, but he was going to die again that evening unless I could figure out how he was going to die and stop it from happening. I was at his house, there were a bunch of annoying bitchy chicks from HS there. They were being mean and snotty. At dinner I realized that Jeremy was going to die because of eating something he was allergic to. Now I just needed to figure out what that was. Jeremy started eating something and his dad yell "Jeremy don't". He ate it anyways. Jeremy was on the floor passed out. Someone was giving him mouth to mouth. I said "is his heart beating?" The I felt for a pulse and there was one. The person giving mouth to mouth as asked if I wanted to take over. I said "is he breathing on his own?" He was so there was no need to keep giving mouth to mouth.
This dream is a combination of like 3 TV shows I watched yesterday.
1) The Simpsons - Homer predicted when the rapture would come. He went to heaven and his family was "left down below". He asked god if he could stop the rapture and turn back time so he could be with is family.
2) Monk - Monk's brother ate some poisoned candy, or so he thought.
3) Malcom in the Middle - The mom entered a beauty pageant and the other contestants were all catty and conniving.

10:21 am My co-worker is getting married in February and she's already getting fed up with her future mother-in-law. She's considering eloping so we were looking online at Las Vegas weddings and stumbled upon this site with theme weddings.
My favorites are the:
- Harley wedding with souvenir wedding scroll. - Intergalactic wedding with use of the Starship chapel - Beach wedding with 2 muscle men to carry bride down the aisle on a surf board - Gangster wedding with Use of the Gangster chapel and two Bodyguards for Godfather/Minister - Gothic wedding with Use of the Gothic chapel decorated in Cemetery Scene with wrought iron fencing, tombstones, a wooden coffin for the Ministers entrance - Egyptian wedding with the Mummy Sarcophagus
Man I would LOVE to have any of these wedding really.

09:25 am I check this site periodically to see who's died in the war in Iraq and to see if I recognize anyone from my civilian or military life. Looking at the list it is so disturbing how many soldiers die from non-hostile events.
Just in June 2005:
Signaller Paul William Didsbury, 18 years old. Died of a non-hostile gunshot wound in Basra, Iraq, on June 29, 2005
Sgt. Joseph M. Tackett, 22 years old. Died of a non-combat related injury in Baghdad, Iraq, on June 23, 2005
(No photo) Staff Sgt. Mark O. Edwards, 40 years old. Died from a non-combat related cause at his forward operating base near Tuz, Iraq, on June 9, 2005
(No photo) Pfc. Douglas E. Kashmer, 27 years old. Killed when the wrecker in which he was a passenger was involved in a non-combat related rollover in Nippur, Iraq, on June 8, 2005
(No Photo) Lance Cpl. Marc L. Tucker, 24 years old. Died as a result of a non-hostile vehicle accident in Asr Uranium, Iraq, on June 8, 2005
Col. Theodore S. Westhusing, 44 years old. Died of non-combat related injuries in Baghdad, Iraq, on June 5, 2005
Staff Sgt. Virgil R. Case, 37 years old. Died of non-combat related injuries in Kirkuk, Iraq, on June 1, 2005
And those are just the people who died from accidents. It's mind boggling to think how dangerous it is to be deployed. These people are just doing their jobs. No one signs up for the military expecting it to kill them. I'm sad about this.

09:02 am I remember doing this when I was a kid. Bending over, hyperventalting, and then having someone push on your chest while your arms are crossed over your chest and you hold your breathe until you pass out. But I NEVER even considered putting anything around my neck to strangle myself.

07:35 am - I had a dream that i was riding in a large van with sharon stone driving. she shuttling me somewhere. she was extremely unstable, and everyone knew it. jennifer lopez was in the back row of the van freaking out. i was trying to be extra nice to sharon because a) i didn't want to hurt her feelings and b) i didn't want to get her upset and have her do something stupid. my dad and his brothers were in the van. sharon stone dropped us off a few blocks from the house i grew up in. we were going to repair a cell phone tower. my dad and uncle clay were razzing my uncle eddie (as usual) because he didn't have his tools with him. he responded back with "i didn't know we would be working" which was the truth because it was a surprise to me too. the tower they were working on was pretty short, for a tower. it had guyed lines. one would climb the tower and the others would bring stuff up to him by hooking it to the guide wires. my dad said he had a surprise for me. we hopped on a cruise ship. it wasn't a normal cruise ship. it looked more like a tourist ship with 1 level and lots of bench seating. my dad's brothers and sister were there. my cousin jennifer, from my mom's side, was there with her baby avery. he was being passed around. my cousin jennifer made a comment about how i looked so much like my aunt sharon. i agreed (although in real life that's not true) and my aunt sharon gave me a long strong hug, like she usually does. they wouldn't tell me where we were going. it was a surprise. it was night time. i saw the new york horizon. except the water was frozen and was so high that it came up the to bottom 1/4 of the sky scrapers. this in my mind was normal, it was winter after all, although, the temperature wasn't a factor. the water did this every winter, you know, because water expands when it freezes. it made me wonder what it did to the structural integrety of the buildings. on in particular because it was twisting and leaning. my grandma called me on my cell phone, my dad's grandma to ask me what my brother was doing. i told her that he was watching us navigate the icey waters of new york. she asked what my dad was doing and i told her that he was doing the same. then the captain of the ship turned the boat really hard to the right and we started spinning around and around on the ice. it was fun, but scary because it didn't seem like we were ever going to stop. then i saw the port and we were still spinning right into it, but safely landed ashore. i was a little disappointed that our cruise didn't take us to a tropical location outside of the country. but it was still nice to get away. the "resort" looked more like a bus or train station. made of wood mostly untreated sheets of wood. the floor, the benches. there was an outside pier/balcony kind of thing where people smoked. we were all standing in a group. i was digging thru my backpack looking for the food and beer that my mom packed for me. there was a guy, not with our group, sitting indian style on the floor. i gave him half of my bagle sandwich and i ate the spare bologna and cheese sandwich i had with me. i realized it was bologna and thought, fuckit, it's all i have to eat. i went to check out the surroundings. there was a room. small. all untreated wood sheets. there were people in there decorating for the event. seemed to me like it was something sponsored by a domestic beer company. a little sleezy and trashy. not really my thing, but what the hey. i went to the bathroom with someone. it was just a bunch of stalls at the end of the room. they were unisex. they were just a step up from pot-a-potties, and that was just because they were perminent. there was a line of about 15 people. we were all fighting for position. this guy behind me said he kept wanting to cut in font of me, i said "hey, i keep wanting to cut too". then the alarm when off.

02:42 pm Friday: I shammed all morning and then I took a long lunch, got a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. When I got back to work, I quickly realized that I wasn't going to get my work done by 5p. I stayed an extra hour to get to a good stopping point. Got home. Danny and I went to dinner. We went to rent a movie from Hollywood Video but opted to by 3 for $30 instead. We bought The Life Aquatic, I Heart Huckaby's, and Garden State. All movies I wanted. We bought some beers, drank them and watched The Life Aquatic. Went to bed early.
Saturday: Got up at 9a and drove out to the beach. The ocean is about a 2 hour drive. We brought some beers just in case you were aloud to drink, it's prohibited. But everyone was drinking. They all just had beer cozies. The beach security/park rangers drove by a number of times and didn't stop to check any cozies. I forgot how salty ocean water is. It had been about 6-7 years since I'd swam in the ocean. The waves were fun. We laid in the sun most of the afternoon. It was a little cloudy for the first hour or so and then the sun came out in full effect. We discovered that they only had bathrooms at the piers (which looked to be about a mile apart). I didn't have a problem with peeing in the ocean, but Danny did. Luckily he found a construction port-a-potty that was on one of the streets that was much closer than the pier. As we were leaving I wanted to check out the pier. They had a bathroom there. I think it was the worst bathroom in NC. There were 2 stalls. Neither of them had doors. There was NO toilet paper. No trash can, so you can imagine what kinds of thing there were all over the floor. The floor was wet and nasty. Some lady was in there changing w/o shoes on! OMG w/o shoes? There was 1 shower outside for the whole public to use. 1 shower per mile, wtf? We checked out the gift shop. Normal stuff. Then we went to walk out on the pier. Guess what, you have to pay a dollar. Whatever, that was just the icing on the cake. I think we're going to go to another beach next time. There are quite a few around that area. Got home around 9p. Went up to the Goat to meet Derek (Danny's brother) his running friend Paul and Derek's best friend Bran, the owner of the bar. Paul and Derek had run 18 miles earlier that day. Paul fell out pretty quickly. They played this bowling video game for a good portion of the night. It was a little boring. Ron came up, we met him there about a month ago and partied at his house until 6a. He's there almost every Saturday. Fred came up too. We met him around the same time and see him up there almost every weekend too. We all hung out until the bar closed. The chick that said she would turn lesbian for me the other week was there, but we didn't talk much. She was much less drunk and out of control. I met another group of people but they left shortly after I met them. After the bar closed Derek, Danny, Bran, the bartenders, and Fred and Ron all stayed and did some shots and some beer bongs. Smart. I tried to do a beer bong, which I can't do. I was racing someone, I can't remember who. Then Bran made me to do a shot of Yager in order to get another beer. They put bets on the bartenders, who would finish their beer bongs first. Danny handed me the rest of his shot of 20 year old Scotch that almost induced vomiting when he tried to shoot it. I had some other peppermint shot. We went to call a cab, but Fred offered to drive us home. Cool man! Save on the moneys.
Sunday: I woke up at 3p. Danny had slept on the futon downstairs for some reason. Fully dressed w/o a blanket or pillow. We traded spots at 3p. He went up stairs and laid on the bed until 4p and I reheated some Eggplant parmasian for Thursday. Watched I Heart Huckaby's. We finally got into gear around 6p. Picked up my car from the Goat. Went to Target to get Danny some work close and then drove around the Raleigh suburb of Cary for 30 minutes looking for an Old Navy to continue our shopping. NC had this tax free weekend thing going on for back to school shopping. So all of the clothes Danny got were tax free. Nice little 7% discount. Came home, watched Animation Domination on Fox. Sundays nights on Fox are the only reason I own a TV, well except for movies of course, but I could watch those on the computer if I had too.

08:31 am - I had a dream this morning Right before the alarm went off. I was driving in the mountains. Instead of having bridges, you're car would fly over the valleys, like you had a ramp but there was no ramp, you would just keep going as if you were on a road, but there was just open air under you. I was driving with my boss. I realized that there wasn't anything under me but a drop of about 2000 feet and so I started turning the wheel (as if my tires would grab onto the air and make my car turn) and he said "What are you doing? Just keep going straight and you'll land on the road". And we did. I kept driving. Then my mom was in the car with me. We were on our way to a restaurant that was on a pier over a lake. The car started floating over another valley. This time we weren't going to land on the road. I was about 20 feet off. We were headed straight for the water next to the restaurant we were headed to. My mom landed safely on the pier (of course) and I crashed into the water. I thought, I better get my car out of here first before it sinks. I swam to the pier and put my foot on the edge and slipped my shoe off. That was my car. It was a Van's Chucka. The whole restaurant was looking at me. I got out of the water and we walked to the back of the restaurant, I had my head down, embarrassed. Then the alarm went off.

08:21 am I had a dream last night that I was visiting Michigan and hanging out with Sean. John was getting mad and trying to keep me from hanging out with Sean because he was getting too close and I was only visiting for a little while I was "only going to hurt Sean". LOL.
Then I had a dream that the other Project Coordinator at work got promoted and I didn't even though I had been working my ass off to get that promotion and she hadn't. She only got it because she had 1 1/2 weeks seniority. LOL.
